To maintain the integrity of our marketplace and protect artists, collectors, and buyers, The Green Easel enforces strict guidelines around what can and cannot be listed for sale. Listings that violate these rules may be removed without notice, and sellers may be subject to account suspension.
Prohibited Items
The following types of items are not allowed on The Green Easel:
- Copyrighted work you don’t own or have permission to sell
(e.g., fan art of copyrighted characters, trademarked logos, or celebrity likenesses without rights) - Mass-produced or manufactured prints
(Only original works or limited-edition reproductions signed and numbered by the artist are allowed) - AI-generated artwork
(Listings must reflect the artist’s own hand-made or digitally hand-rendered creations) - Plagiarized or copied work
(Originality is key — do not list items that closely imitate or replicate another artist’s work or style) - Adult content or nudity presented without artistic merit
(Nude artwork must be clearly marked and presented in a tasteful, artistic context) - Hate speech, violence, or discriminatory content
(No artwork that promotes harm, bigotry, or hateful ideologies will be tolerated) - Hazardous or restricted materials
(e.g., artwork that includes flammable chemicals, toxic materials, or anything illegal to ship)
Misleading or Incomplete Listings
Listings that contain any of the following may be removed:
- Inaccurate or deceptive descriptions (e.g., stating an item is original when it is a print)
- Missing edition numbers for limited-edition works
- Use of stock or placeholder images instead of actual photos of the item for sale
Seller Responsibility
By listing an item, sellers agree that:
- They are the original creator or have full legal rights to sell the work
- The item complies with all applicable laws and our community guidelines
- They will promptly remove or update any listing that no longer meets these standards
