Payment Policy

The Green Easel uses a secure and straightforward payment process to protect both buyers and sellers. This policy outlines how payments are made, processed, and distributed across our platform.

Accepted Payment Methods

All transactions on The Green Easel are processed through Woocommerce & Stripe. Buyers can securely pay using:

  • Major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.)
  • Google Pay or Apple Pay

We do not accept cash, checks, money orders, or off-platform payments.

Payment Timing

  • Buyers: Payment is collected at the time of purchase. Your card will be charged immediately to secure the item.
  • Sellers: Funds are typically released within 1–2 business days after the order has been confirmed as shipped with valid tracking information. Payout timelines may vary slightly depending on the payment processor and bank.

Seller Payouts

Sellers must link a valid payout account to receive funds. Payouts are issued through Stripe after:

  • Tracking information is provided
  • The order is shipped and marked as completed
  • The item has not been disputed or canceled prior to shipment

Any applicable platform fees or payment processing fees will be deducted before funds are released.

Fees and Commissions

The Green Easel charges the following fees on sales made through the platform:

  • Commission: A 18% commission is applied to each sale.
    This fee includes all payment processing fees and helps us maintain and continuously improve The Green Easel: supporting secure transactions, site enhancements, marketing efforts, and community growth that help your art reach more people.
  • Payment Processing Fees: These are set by our payment provider (Stripe) and are automatically included in the commission rate above.

All fees will be clearly shown at the time of listing or transaction. Sellers are responsible for understanding and accounting for these costs when pricing their artwork.

Payment Security

We take security seriously. All payments are processed using encrypted, PCI-compliant technology through our third-party provider. Your financial information is never stored on The Green Easel’s servers.

Payment Violations

Attempting to arrange payment or transactions outside of The Green Easel is a violation of our terms and may result in account suspension. This includes asking for Venmo, cash app, checks, or direct bank transfers.
