Shipping Policy

At The Green Easel, sellers are responsible for ensuring each artwork arrives safely and in the condition described. The guidelines below outline our expectations for shipping artwork to buyers.

Standard Shipping

  • Sellers are required to ship orders within three (3) business days of receiving payment.
  • Shipping costs are the responsibility of the seller and should be factored into the item price when listing.
  • Standard shipping must include:
    • Ground delivery service
    • Tracking number
    • Insurance covering the full sale price of the artwork

Expedited Shipping (Optional)

We do not currently offer express shipping as part of our checkout. However, if a buyer needs faster delivery, they may leave a comment on the listing to request expedited shipping.

  • If agreed upon, payment and terms for expedited shipping should be handled directly between the buyer and seller on the private sale page.
  • Sellers who wish to offer faster shipping should clearly outline terms in their listing description.

Shipping Guidelines

To ensure smooth delivery and buyer protection, sellers must:

  • Carefully package the artwork using proper materials to avoid damage during transit.
  • Ship only to the address linked to the buyer’s payment, using a trackable method and obtaining proof of delivery.

Recommended Shipping Practices

  • Use a sturdy shipping box or tube appropriate for the size and medium of the artwork.
  • Wrap the item in bubble wrap or protective material, leaving at least 1–2 inches of padding on all sides.
  • Include any necessary care instructions or certificates of authenticity, if applicable.
  • Seal the package with durable packing tape.
  • Apply a clearly printed or handwritten shipping label, or print one via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or local shipping company.

After Shipping

Once the item is shipped:

  • Sellers must enter the tracking number on the private sale page to notify the buyer.
  • Sellers should monitor delivery status and remain available in case shipping issues arise.

Couriers and Shipping Tools

Sellers can choose their preferred courier, such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx, so long as the service includes tracking and insurance. For rate estimates:
